Crafty, crafty, crafty!

My friend posted this on her blog and I couldn't resist going for it so have a read and you may be lucky!

Here are the rules:
The first three people to comment on this post will get something homemade by me! I guarantee you will love it, or at least that you will tell me you love it regardless.
It'll be done this year at some point.

The homemade gift could be anything (the air of mystery is what makes this thing exciting!) It may be a story. It may be poetry or a pasta. I may draw or paint something (though you would not wish me to). I may bake you something and post it to you. I might even cut a CD of my own lovely voice singing a selection of my favourite numbers. Who knows? Not you, and at this point, not me either.

Last but not least, you must continue this little game by reposting the offer of a secret homemade gift to the first 3 people who comment on your blog. The first 3 people to do so win a homemade gift by me that money can’t buy! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it (so those who weren’t fast enough to win can be horribly jealous).

Yup...thats it...and bearing in mind that I am not by nature a creative person...however I will do my best for you! Have lots of fun and choose carefully whether you want to do this or not!

So Karen, if you are reading this I'm really looking forward to my surprise! xxx

Count me in. Hey Karen - does this mean you need to post another message on your blog to give away 3 more things??

what a fun little game!! i was coming over to let you know the measurements to the whirly pinwheel. i know it has been a little bit, sorry.

For the whirly pinwheel, I used 5 inch sqaures. I trimmed off on one of the sides 3/8 of an inch. So then they measured 5 X 4 5/8. I then measured an inch in and marked on both of the sides of the 5 inch sides. Then connected my marks with a line. I cut on the line, and then that is what gave me my template. If you look on two dogs and a quilt, I thinks she has pictures on how to make the template. Just use my measurements, since she changed hers after I had made mine. Those were her original measurement when I made mine. I taped my template to my ruler like on two dogs and a quilt did.

For the borders around each block, I cut them 1 1/2 inches so it came out as a one inch border around the blocks with the seams. When I sewed all the blocks together there really is a two inch border in between the blocks since each of them have the inch border. Hope that makes sense. Around the whole top, I cut the border 2 inches.

Let me know if any of this doesn't make sense and I can try to explain it different.

Of course your entry counts on my blog. Does Kerri count here? Or can I claim that third spot?
