Princesses aren't snaked!!
With it being so hot yesterday Ben put Eliza down for a nap with only her nappy on. Suddenley I hear this terrible crying upstairs and hear Esther shouting 'She's not a princess anymore' refering to Eliza. Why is she not a princess you might wonder? Because she was 'snaked' (not got the hang of naked without the 's' infront!!)!! Later we had to explain that 'Princesses use the toilet, not the garden - unless of course it's an emergency. But that's a whole other story...

Mary - pop off!!
My little darlings just lurve to be awake from around 5am EVERY morning. I know - 5am! What did I do wrong?? Not only do they like to rise and shine then, Esther has the same 2 requests every morning - Milk and Mary Poppins. Though I am a lifelong fan of all things Julie Andrews (well, actually just Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music), my enjoyment of Superkalifrajalisticexpialidocious (just a guess at how to spell it) is beginning to wane somewhat... but hey, if you sing 'A Spoon Full of Sugar' there is no end to the amount of tidying she will do - so I suppose every cloud has a silver lining! She loves the part with the penguins and jumps off the sofa pulling her PJ's down to her hips so she can dance like Bert! C-ute!

To suck or not to suck, that is the question...
So we have a little thumb-sucker in our family. I've had mixed reactions - some people think its great for your babies to do that and others think terrible! I tried Eliza with a dummy today which she seemed to quite enjoy but it kept falling out when she was rolling around in her cot which meant taking her ages to fall asleep and numerous trips into the bedroom for me. I think she still probably resorted to sucking her thumb to sleep anyway. Should I even bother with persuing the dummy? Any opinions?

Bye Bye Cynthia, Hello....?
Last week we bid a fond farewell to our beloved Cynthia. She was our Daewoo Lanos and the name Cynthia described her perfectly - the AC was broken, the windows were a bit renagade and wouln't close close when they were wet, the driver's door had issues and she sounded like a boy racer's car as we had to get a replacement exhaust which was super loud!
So here is our new car (to the left of Cynthia) a Ford Focus, funnily enough the same colour as Cynthia - some people (actually just women) didn't realise we had a new car because it was the same colour!
But unfortunatley we don't have a name for our new little beauty yet - any ideas? So Matt and Keri (Cynthia's new proud owners...) look after her please!!

There were 3 in the bed and the little one said...
Yes our bed is not made...the covers were being washed!
After a while the party moved to the cot.

Sometimes a magical thing happens in our household. The 3 ladies of the house actually take a nap at the same time.Once Eliza is settled in her cot, Esther and I creep into the room and jump in the big bed praying that Eliza will want to have a long sleep. More often than not she will wake up only 20mins after Esther has gone to sleep but last Friday we managed to get a whole 2 hour nap - midday heaven if you ask me! So in celebration of this wonderful event (and being invigorated and full of energy after my blissful and well needed nap) we had a photo shoot!

Heroes Fan!!
Yummy, Yummy, Raspberries in my Tummy!

We have a bumper crop of raspberries in our garden! I wish I could say it is because I am a fantastically green fingered gardener but its just pure luck really - I randomly chopped them down last year so I surprised they even grew so well again.
Esther luuuuuurves raspberries (any kind of berries really!) which makes it even better. We must have had 10 x the amount in that bowl - deeeeeelicious!
