All about Eliza

Eliza is 6 months now - how on earth did that happen? Someone is seriously speeding up time! Here's some facts about our little cutie pie and some pictures too.

  • Eliza still wears newborn socks - her feet are teeny!

  • She can crawl and has been since she turned 6 months.

  • She still sucks her thumb.

  • She laughs the most at Esther - absolutely loves her - especially watching her dance!

  • She loves her food, wolfs it down, slaps on the highchair and starts crying if you are too slow at spoon feeding her. Her 2 favs are home made peach and banana, and Ella's Kitchen brocoli, pear and peas but basically she will eat anything hot or cold.

  • Has slept through only twice, I assume its because she loves me so much she can't bear to go the whole night through without waking up to be cuddled by me.

  • Favourite song - Happy Days, as in 'Sunday, Monday, Happy Days....' with the Fonz and the like.

  • She loves bathtime.

  • She is super giggly and smiley and we all think she is gorgeous!

Sacred Swine gets a well needed bath!

We have a 5th member of our family - his name is Piggy aka 'the Sacred Swine'. Esther goes nowhere without her piggy which incidently is never identified as a pig by anyone who sees him (he is a definite 'him' also). People ask the name of her bunny, her bear, her doggy. The answer is 'he's piggy' - dah, can't you tell he's a pig???? Maybe not, he is more a shade a of light to dark grey depending on body part - it's his tail she really loves, you really are in favour if she gives you his filthy old tail to smell - no longer a pretty pale pink. Worst thing is that he was given to us second hand so a spare piggy cannot be found for love nor money. I used to sneak piggy from Esther's bed at night to wash him and sneak him back, praying she didn't wake up. Now we are a little more grown up so Esther helps me to give him a bath. She dunks him and gives him a scrub, then I wash him with the detergent, then we both help to rinse him. He does go in the washing machine for his spin but then she has him right back out, damp, to take his rightful place at her side. No tears at bath time for this little piggy!

There was a little girl, who had a little curl.....

There was a little girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good she was very, very good...

But when she was bad she was bad she was horrid!!! This nursery rhyme is sooooooooo applicable to Esther but maybe the last line should read 'but when she is bad she is just tired!! Isn't that the way with everybody??
