2 Christmases and a Wedding!

This was our year to spend Christmas with Ben's parents. All his family was there and a friend of ours so the house was packed out! Eliza and Esther were both ill along with their cousin Thomas who is 18months old so 3 unhappy children in a small space was not the recipe for the most relaxing Christmas but still we managed to have a good time. We have pictures but they are on our old computer (I'm sitting in our living room on our new laptop - many thanks to Bex for donating it to us and alloing us the luxury of wireless!). Esther was the winner as far as presents go. She got a fabulous bike from Grandma and Grandad Conway complete with Disney princess helmet and pads along with many other wonderful presents and the Hula Hoop she had asked for from Father Christmas!
After a week in the South West we travelled via our freezing cold house in the East of England to the North-East where my parents live and stayed with them for a week. All my siblings were there too so it was great to be with them. By this point the girls were mostly better except Eliza's gooey eyes...so they were happier. My best friend Rachel drove 3 hours to spend New Years with us at my parents house. About 11.45pm both girls woke up crying so bring in the New Year and counting down with Big Ben was a whitewash for us! On the 3rd Jan my cousin got married and her sister who I haven't seen in about 3 years came over from Texas so it was great to catch up with her and out extended family.
The 2 weeks of holiday passed by quickly and I feel like I came home for a rest! We made the decision that this year we are going to spend Christmas at home. I'm looking forward to making our own Christmas traditions. I told Ben we shall have to move house or extend before then so that everyone can come to us for Christmas!!! It was great to see Esther having an understanding of what Christmas is about, both the serious side and the fun side and have both kids spending some quality time with both of our families. If only they lived close enough to see more frequently!
