WE SOLD OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm soooooooo pleased. We had 2 couples come and look last week on Wednesday and Thursday then the 2nd couple came back on Friday with parents in tow which is always a good sign. I could hear them saying things like 'oooh the dining area looks much more spacious than on the photos' so we were pretty hopeful. Then on Monday they made us a decent offer so we accepted! It was my birthday on Sunday -I was pretty spoilt - and what better present than this? They had looked at the house 2 doors down which was £18,000 more than ours, couldn't afford it, saw ours and snapped it up! No more tidying! Ok, I will tidy really... just not as perfectly... Ben has declared that he is never mowing the lawn again so I tried to declare that I was never washing the kitchen floor again but I'm not sure that is sensible or actually hygienic........

I got all emotional after I rang the estate agents to accept the offer and then when I told the neighbours. I'll probably be a snivelling wreck come moving day which brings me nicely onto our next problem - choosing which house to move to out of a limited number of options. Option 1:The cheaper 4 bedroom house which has smallish bedrooms and small weird shape garden but a decent amount of downstairs space but not alot of light. Option 2: pay quite a bit more for a much bigger garden, bigger bedrooms, bigger bathroom and alright size downstairs with good light but going to have houses built next to it and behind. Options: limited.

That's great about selling your house! Options always are limited when buying, you can never find something that fits perfectly. Our first house sounds like your option one - much smaller upstairs compared to downstairs, it just didn't really match. We made it work because we were just starting out and only had Leilani, but I don't think I'd do it again with more kids and more stuff, it was actually quite a lot harder to have a smaller upstairs than I thought - you need plenty of space to pack stuff away upstairs. Hope it helps a little, at least you'll know a bit more what to expect if you do go for that one. Good luck, I don't envy you having to go through the whole moving process! xxx

Congrats! That's very excited. We know exactly how you feel about the limited options and what choice is best. But at the same time I think it's all really exciting. Congrats again.

Our last house was small upstairs and only had 3 bedrooms. It lasted us till we had Sarah, but Mick did have to build a special bed on top of wardrobes!
