New year project

When I was pregnant with Eliza, some friends (thanks Helen) gave us their old double stroller which was a bit mouse eaten (literally) but in good working order. We used it for ages with Esther and Eliza and soon enough it will be time to get it back out. So I decided I would spruce it up a little before the new baby arrives. I'm going to attempt to sew up the holes in the basket bit at the bottom, give the wheels a good oiling (Ben always knew where I was when we were out with the stoller because of it's terrible squeak!) and I'm going to make some stroller liners to cover up the mouse holes in the seats. I'm going to use this tutorial http://http://floatingworld.typepad.com/floating_world_views/2008/08/stroller-liner-tutorial.html and I've chosen this fabric to make them with! They will have the russian dolls on one side and the apples on the other. I'm hoping the fabric comes before Friday so my sister can give me a hand. If not wish me luck!
I don't know why I didn't oil the wheels last time or do any of these things so it'll be a touch of luxury for our new baby girl!

Glad it is getting a new lease of life Anna - love the fabrics!
(And just to reassure any friends - we do not have mice!!!)

Wow, very impressive. That makeover will save you a small fortune. We ended up buying 2 different double buggies for the boys cos they're 16 months apart. If only I'd thought of refurbishing like you are.
