The Princess and the Pea

A few weeks after Christmas we were eating dinner when Esther starts crying saying her nose hurts and she was picking at it. So we told her that Princesses and girls don't pick their noses (always gets through to her when you bring Princesses and girls into the equation) but she kept crying and then said their was a pea up there! Sure enough when we looked there was a nice round pea up her nose! Ben starts laughing, I start wondering if the pea could make it all the way to her brain from there and then turned into panic - what if we couldn't get it out? Luckily (maybe through personal experience?) Ben was able to manouver her nose until it popped out! Then we all relaxed and had a good laugh about it until she said there was another one up there and hey presto there was a SECOND pea up her other nostril!!! Same techniques employed by skillfull daddy enable a swift removal of said pea and from then on we banned her from eating the rest of the peas from her plate! Ben and I were sitting either side of her at the table so can vouch for her not putting them up there herself. She was pretty good about it and kept trying to sneak peas to eat after we banned her because she thought it was hilarious! Seeing double, 2 peas in one nose, not comfy!
