Esther started Year 2 this year with a new teacher, Mr Vincent. He was at the school last year doing his teaching practice and this is his first job as a fully qualified teacher. The kids really like him and I'lm glad they have a male teacher in the school since everyone else who work there are female. I've noticed a big change between year 1 and year 2 as far as homework goes, she doesn't have a lot but there is a big difference in standard. We had parents evening last week and we couldn't be happier with the things her teacher had to say. She listens, does what she is told, works hard, gets great results and gets along with everyone. He said he feels embarrassed marking her writing because it's so much neater than his!
Eliza finally started school! She has been waiting to start since she turned 4 in February! She is in Foundation with Miss Mee. She quickly got sick of only going for half days the first 2weeks,she was desperate to use her new Minnie Mouse lunch bag. Eliza doesn't often tell me what she did at school, apparently it 's a secret... so it was nice to find out from her teacher who she plays with and what she is like in the classroom. Her teacher told us she is always busy and said 'well, she's obviously good friends with Charlotte' which was news to me since Eliza has never mentioned her! She has settled in just fine and has begun to bring reading books with words in home.
I really miss them both when they are at school so hooray for the half-term holiday this week!

Wow, the girls are getting so big! Hardly recognized Eliza! My how time flies.
