So here we are 4 days overdue with our baby girl. Our last 2 babies were 3 days late each but this time I was convinced I would not have to wait that long but here we are 4 days overdue! My mum has been here for over a week and has been taking care of the majority of the housework leaving me time and energy to take care of some last minute sewing!
This week I made a floor cushion for the girls. It was fairly simple and I had my first go at piping. I was really pleased with how it turned out. Trouble is I need to make 2 more now to stop the squabbling!
Last week I made a hooded car seat blanket. I'd pinned the tutorial a while back and it really was as easy as the lady said. It only took about an hour and a quarter to make. Does my baby really need one? Probably not but then I had the fabric already and time on my hands so why not?!
I also finished a quilt for the new baby and LOVE it. I'd loved the fabric for the longest time so when I found our we were having a girl I had to buy some!
Here's hoping the baby comes soon - my sewing machine needs a break! I've enjoyed it all especially knowing that it won't be getting much action after the baby is born!
